About me...

Originally from Edinburgh, Emma resides in Glin, West Limerick, on the scenic ‘Shannon Estuary Way’, with her husband and two boys. Emma was awarded ‘The Vice Convenor’s’art award’ at 17 years and pursued her dreams of studying art in Dundee obtaining a BDes (Hons) in Illustration and Printmaking. Also qualified in art education (P.G.D.E. with an overall distinction) and a P.g (Dip.) in Multimedia Technologies.

Drawing inspiration from the beauty of Irish wildlife, florals, seas, landscapes, and coastlines, Emma’s work reflects the vibrant and ever-changing world around her. Her paintings are characterised by a joyful, bold and uplifting palette, showcasing a harmonious blend of traditional, abstract, illustrative, and expressive elements. Working with acrylics, oils, and mixed media, Emma’s artistic versatility shines through in her creations, both small and large in scale.

Emma has sold paintings local, national, and internationally, as well as participating in charity fundraisers and auctions. She had had both solo and group exhibitions as well as local fairs and markets. Emma regularly exhibits with ‘Art Source’ in Dublin and Cork and within galleries. Emma on occassion, facilitates private classes to adults and children.

A recent accomplishment of hers being Fibin Films using five artworks on set filming for a TV series to be shown on T4 later on this year (2024).

Emma is motivated to push boundaries and continue evolving as an artist. Her ability to capture the essence of her surroundings with both imagination and colour make her a notable presence in the Irish art world.

She paints in both acrylics and oils (or both together), with mixed media elements such as watercolour, inks and oil pastels. Exploring and experimenting the ongoing creative processes and journeys of discovery continually keep her both interested and challenged.

Emma has sold paintings and has exhibited locally, nationally and internationally in galleries and as part of charity fundraisers. She has won awards and continues to strive in her artistic endeavours.

Emma works from home in her studio and her artworks are welcome to view in her house by appointment. Stay updated by joining her mailing list.

She accepts commissions and will go through a collaborated and thorough process to meet the exact needs and expectations of the client. From abstract to houses, pets and places.
